Accelerus Dioce was born in the major city of Showroomtown, HotRodia, to two loving parents, both of whom died shortly after he was born as the result of a meteorite impact directly on top of their home. Accelerus was at the time staying with his grandparents, his only other family at the time, for a few days to give his parents some time to themselves. After his grandparents died of natural causes when he was a young adult, he became the only living Dioce (of his branch of the Dioce family).

Lacking any real social life, and dealing with some serious (and understandable) abandonment issues, Accelerus fully dedicated himself to self-improvement in the physical, mental, and emotional realms. He devoted many years of his life to acquiring degrees in sociology, anthropology, political theory, economics, and philosophy from the various institutions around HotRodia that would have him. He also spent several years training with professional martial artists and military tacticians because he considered his university-based education insufficient, and as a result has a surprising amount of experience with both armed and unarmed combat.

He characterizes himself as a full-time student of life, but is currently being paid to represent HotRodia in the United Nations. He claims to have taken the job on a lark after meeting the Minister of Hospitality, Sam I Am, who offered it to him after a short exchange. His duties as the HotRodian UN Representative involve making sure the interests of his nation are heard in the halls of the UN, networking with other UN Ambassadors, and keeping the Minister of Hospitality appraised of the actions of the United Nations.
