Ada

Ada is the capital city of the Principality of Amalad in the Resurgent Dream. It is also the second largest city in Amalad, after Zesan and the seat of Ghali Parish.

Ada is located in the western half of the principality and is in the center of the north-south axis. It is located on hot, arid land with very little rainfall.

Ada was established in 1991 as the capital of the newly formed principality of Amalad. It was one of the first settlements in what is now Danaan Ambara, established in accordance with the wishes of High Queen Agwene.

Ada is the center of Islamic theological education in the Resurgent Dream. It features a number of prominent Muslim religious institutions such as the Islamic College of the Resurgent Dream and the Institute of Higher Studies in Islamic Theology.

Name

The origins of the city's name are unclear. The initial settlers claim to have used a name already in use for the area in Marlund and Adoki and the name might be a geographical term predating records on the matter.
