Aerotrain manufactures airplanes for civilian and military use in Sober Thought. It was founded in Schweindorf and still retains its headquarters there and has manufacturing branches in Kolashek and Mont Royaume. Its main customers are CommunitAir and the Community Defence Forces, but it sells to individuals, private sector airlines and other countries.

Rotary wing aircraft

All Aerotrain helicopters or rotary wing aircraft have their rear stabilising rotors embedded in the rudder like the real world Aérospatiale Gazelle helicopters. The H-4 and H-10 light helicopters are designed for aerial observation and light transport on land, and are similar to the RL Bell 206/TH-57/OH-58 Kiowa helicopters.

A better tool for taking crews to oil drilling platforms in the ocean is the H-12 floating helicopter, similar to the RL Sikorsky Sea King. The CDF Air Service has several variants of this CDF naval utility helicopter including the HU-77 Huan for general purpose uses, the HUBR-77 Hubert for dedicated anti-submarine warfare and the HUS-77 Hudson for dedicated search and rescue.

Heavier industrial use helicopters are used for airlifting vehicles into isolated places, hefting building materials up to girders or similar activities. The land version, the H-40, is similar in concept to the Sikorsky S-64/CH-54 Skycrane but in execution the CH-47 Chinook. The floating version is similar to the CH-46 Sea Knight. The military versions are the HT-55 Hatty and HTN-55 Hortense, respectively.

Propeller aircraft

The P-6 Pony is the smallest aircraft in the company's product line -- and the first one to be built -- is a single engined propeller aircraft similar to the entry-level Cessnas or Canadian de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver bush plane. The airplane is capable of carrying six people including the pilot and 500 kg of cargo. It is stylish enough to be used by people looking for an expensive hobby but there aren't that many people rich enough in Sober Thought. The air force uses it at elementary flying schools as a trainer airplane.

The P-25 Palomino is slightly larger than the Pony and has two propellered engines. It cannot serve the recreational flying market and is only good for cargo or paying passengers. It is robust enough and large enough to serve isolated fly-in communities, of which there are many in Sober Thought.

The P-80 Clydesdale is larger in turn than the Palomino and has four propellered engines. It is similar in concept and execution to the RL C-130 Hercules, and like the latter it is used extensively in the air force. The two main variants are the CDF tactical air transportT-40 ''Taavi'' transport and TG-40 Tiger.

Jet aircraft

The A-20 executive jet is similar in concept to a real world Gulfstream or Bombardier CL601 Challenger. As its numerical designation indicates, it seats 20 passengers plus the pilot and co-pilot. Its single jet engine is found on the tail assembly. The T-60 Tammy is the military version of this jet and is used for transporting Marshals and other important officials.

The A-50 regional jet is similar in concept to a Bombardier CRJ-100 RegionalJet or an Embraer ERJ series, but is configured more like an Airbus. It seats 50 passengers excluding the pilots and cabin crew. It has twin jet engines located under the wings. The T-61 Timmy is the military passenger version, and is used pretty much the same as the T-60.

Another military variant of the A-50 is the TLN-61 Toulon tanker version. It is used to refuel fighters of the Carrier Air Group when they are in flight. Each aircraft carrier includes one flight of three TL-61s.

The A-300 passenger jet has nearly all the features of its RL counterpart, the Airbus A-330, including two engines under the wing. It carries 300 paying customers in the rear and 15 flight crew in the cockpit and cabin. The two military versions are the T-62 Tommy for passengers and the TL-62 Toulouse for fuel.

The A-500 passenger jet is essentially an upscaled A-300 but with four engines under the wings. There are 500 passengers and 25 flight crew. The CDF Air Service versions are the T-63 Tummy for passengers and the TL-63 Tuileries for fuel.
