The Parliment of Skatval, called Lagtinget

The parliment of Skatval is located in Aglo, and it's a symbol of democracy and freedom. The royal castle is also located there.

Lagtinget was built in the 15th century B.C. by the Skateburgians. The building was a administration office for the Skateburgian cancellor in Skatval.

The royal castle was built as a prison in at the same time as Lagtinget, but was rebuilt in the 19th century, and served as residence for the Skateburgian king in Aglo. The current royal family moved in in 1993. In 1996 the castle housed it's first Skatvalian king; King Erik.

Population

The population is mostly ethnic Norwegian, but speaks both Trøndersk and Norwegian. A small group of Faroese-speaking immigrants from Skatval-Brandenburg live in an area called Føroyar, named after the people's RL orgin.

The population mainly belong to the working class and the middle class, but some rich people also live there, normally around the "civilized" areas like Sjøgløtt, Ekehagen and in the central areas called Sentrum.

The residentals' (classical) dialect is close to written Trøndersk, but the dialect isn't spoken Standard Trøndersk as many think.
