Ahmed Ol-wairain has the claim-to-fame of being the first Starblaydi player to score in a World Cup tournament, when he came on as a substitute in the 1st Group F Game against Audioslavia in World Cup 17. Ahmed, then 29, had made his international debut four years ealier in the 2nd AOCAF, where he was Starblaydia's top-scorer with 4 goals, netting against Stralphi, Nojika, Turori and Crystilakere. He also scored a goal in the 3rd Eagle's Cup against Vilita.
Being the first man of arabic descent to play for Starblaydia was never going to be easy, but Ahmed's goalscoring exploits soon endeared him to the fans of Vecchio Victors and Starblaydia alike. After his playing career was over he used his skills as a talent scout to help set up the legendary Vic's Youth Academy under the direction of Ryan Garry, unearthing many top players for the future, which he does to this day.
