The A6MK Akuma-class Space Frigate ("K" in the designation stands for "1000") is a spaceship currently under development by Mitsubishi's Space Engineering Division. It is based on the A6M96 Kotaka (dubbed Millenium Falcon for its space-faring capabilities) and the derivant Ragnarok-class Space-Airships of Kotaka. The development and production of the Akuma is a long-term goal of Mitsubishi, sponsored by the government of Imperial Japan to keep up with the increasing spatial military presence of Nazi Germany. The final ship will be armed with a single, large beam cannon, a beam weapon that is expected to be the successor of the Wave Motion Cannon currently under development under the Directed Energy Weapons Development Project of Mitsubishi.
