Alan Fredrickson fought in The Old Highlands vs Presidio civil war and is the son of Presidionian Field-Marshal Fredrickson. Following the fall of the capital he mysteriously came into posession of several hundred million dollars.
His father has since died leaving him only a sward, an old family heirloom and it's now reported that he is engadged in gun running; having sold White Pines $90 million worth of munitions as well as selling arms to various other nations and groups. Alan has a tendency towards siding with the underdog and the rebel; having fought on the rebel side in the Old Highlands vs Presidio civil war which resolted in the overthrow of the opressive Old Highlands government.
