Alfonso di Medicicci led the peasant revolt of 1672 in Melixia. Alfonso, originally from Italy, was exiled to Melixia in 1650. He rallied the peasants of Leninosky, which was a large trade center in southern present day-Augmentoria. The revolt occurred March 15, 1672 and news of this event (spread by the development of the printing press) sparked further revolts in the islands surrounding Augmentoria. Fifteen islands revolted, but they split up by religion in groups of seven, five and three. Although he never married, Alfonso fathered a son with a wealthy land owner's daughter, widely known to be Bejnea d'Albernioss. His son, Larslov d'Albernioss, became the monarch of the Alliance Between Monarch and Peoples of Melixia.

Alfonso di Medicicci was a lover of the arts and was a trained musician. He played harpsichord and the lute. Many described him as a "modern-day Orpheus." He never reached any source of fame through his art, but he started a tradition of preserving music and art in the islands of Melixia.
