Altanar UN Mission
The Altanari UN Mission is housed on the 15th floor of the UN Building. It consists of an Ambassador, a Deputy Ambassador, a Security Chief/Advisor and ten agents of the Royal Intelligence and Security Directorate (RIS) assigned to the Mission Security Detail.

Ambassador
Ambassador: Hon. Jinella Agaranth
Age: 29
Birthplace: Central Akamas Hospital, Nara City, Nara Province
Family: Daughter of Limaro and Kelina Agaranth. Unmarried and single; was in a relationship with Perikel Draskanan, a deputy mayor in Nara City, but disavowed that individual after he was convicted of treason during the Altanari Civil War of 2007.
Education: Attended Nara Lower School 2A and Nara Upper School 1A. Upon graduation, attended the University of the Akamas, earning a master's degree in Government.
Employment: Joined the Altanari Ministry of State in April 2005. Was named Deputy Ambassador soon after Altanar opened its UN Mission. Was promoted to full Ambassador in March 2007, when the former Ambassador, Jaris Krytellin, was named Prime Minister of Altanar.
Background: Neither from a noble or royal line, Jinella brings the voice of the people to her role as UN Ambassador. Rumor has it that she was chosen specifically by King Aelkyn for precisely that reason, although this has never been confirmed. She initially impresses people as polite and soft-spoken, but has become more assertive as she grows comfortable with her role. She is also known for a marked lack of patience at times. She is the first native Akamian to be chosen for such a high-profile diplomatic role representing Altanar, and is seen as a role model for Akamians loyal to the nation.
Politics: Jinella is a member of the Green Altanar Movement, an environmentalist party. She refuses to associate with Akamian separatists. This has earned her the contempt and ire of the separatists, who consider her a traitor to the Akamian cause. Jinella is no more fond of the separatists, and was famously quoted in Altanari media for describing the main separatist leader, Sinis Kerilais, as "a mediocre intellect and a hateful heart wrapped in the body and face of a syphilitic monkey". Kerilais allegedly placed a 1,000,000-solari bounty on Jinella's head after that remark was made public.

Responsibilities within the UN Office: Jinella is in charge of the entire UN Mission of Altanar. Her primary responsibility is to be the official voice of the Mission, as well as to cast Altanar's vote on UN issues in accordance with the desires of the Altanari government.
Interests: Music, art, reading, sailing, Akamian politics and social issues.
Once said: "My service to Altanar is because of my loyalty to our people, and that includes the Akamians and the Altanari. We are all part of the same land, under the same sun."
Deputy Ambassador
Deputy Ambassador: Hon. Ikir Askanabath
Age: 25
Birthplace: Wagrath Hospital, Ael Khalas
Family: Son of Path and Mariska Askanabath, both career agents with the Royal Intelligence and Security Directorate (RIS). Unmarried and single.
Education: Attended Lukisha public schools. Upon graduation, attended the Royal University of Lukisha, earning a master's degree in journalism.
Employment: Joined the Altanari Ministry of State in January 2007. Was named Deputy Ambassador in March 2007, after Jinella Agaranth was promoted to full Ambassador.
Background: As the son of two agents with Altanar's intelligence service, and as someone who studied to be a journalist, Ikir brings a keen eye and inquisitive mind to his role as Deputy Ambassador. He often reviews debates and resolutions in the GA to help determine what Altanar's stance on a resolution should be.
Politics: Ikir is a member of the Altanari Liberal Party (ALP).
Titles: Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations, United Constitutional Monarchy of Altanar
Responsibilities within the UN Office: His primary responsibility is to assist Jinella with running the Mission, as well as to cast Altanar's vote in the GA if the Ambassador is unavailable. He also serves as a buffer or intermediary for Jinella.
Interests: Politics, news, debating, writing, painting.

Security Chief
Security Chief: Senior Agent Markus Paulanus
Age: 37
Birthplace: Chiana Hospital, in the city of Chiana.
Family: Son of Bronius and Julija Paulanus. Unmarried, single.
Education: Attended Kyrinia Military Academy and the Royal Military College in Ael Khalas, earning an officer's commission in the Royal Army.
Employment: After serving in a counterinsurgency unit for several years, transferred to the Royal Guards and entered Royal Intelligence, working with a counterinsurgency detail. When Royal Intelligence was moved into the new Royal Intelligence and Security Directorate (RIS) in the wake of the Altanari Civil War of 2007, he transferred into that department.
Background: As the son of first-generation immigrants to Altanar, Paulanus is strongly devoted to the nation and takes his service to the Mission very seriously. He does not socialize much and rarely leaves the side of his charges, Jinella Agaranth and Ikir Askanabath. He tends to be very firm and task-oriented with the ten other RIS agents in the security detail.
Politics: Paulanus is a card-carrying member of the traditionalist Altanari Unity Party.
