The Constitutional Federation of Americom is a massive Federal Republic that has been in existence since early 2004 (or late 2003, the actual date is a controversial subject). Throughout its history, this nation has stood for Free Market Capitalism, Conservative social values, and Constitutional freedoms for all of its citizens. The entire Federation consists of the CFA Federated Corporate State, and several satellite states held within the Corporatical Bloc.

"Americon"

When referring to the citizens of Americom, one would use the term "Americon citizens" as the possesive form of "Americom." (For example, "American citizens" are citizens of "America").

CFA Recent News

The former United Corporate Republic of Protocrop has been reformed and revived as a nation. Due to their current and likely indefinite status as a drifting nation, the democratically elected Corporate Board of Protocorp has requested admission into the Constitutional Federation of Americom. Recognizing their request, the Americon House of Kommandants and Senate both unanimously elected to bring Protocorp into the CFA. However, as neither House of Congress is yet sure how to Constitutionally integrate all of Protocorp into the Federation, they are currently designated as an "Autonomous Dominion." Hence the name, the Americon Corporate Autonomy of Protocorp.

Americon Satellite States

The CFA consists of the Federated Corporate State of Americom(the largest of the Federation member states) as well as the Americon Corporatical Bloc States:

Liberty One

Americom Industries

Americommuniland

Americon Goldenesvlies

The Kaliforeich

Leading Corporations

The leading corporations in Americom:

NashCapCorp -- Overtly huge Software, Retail store, Defense Contracting Giant. (Think WalMart + Microsoft + Boeing)

UberCon Materials -- Large logging/raw materials business.

GEOCOM Industries -- Expansive Mining company

The rest of Americom business is made up heavily of either moderately-sized regional corporations (many of theses) or family owned and/or one-man-run small businesses.

Americon Allies

Allies of the CFA include The Empire of Jason, Carus Roma, Vexas, the former Republic of Protocorp, and several others. However, like the Empire of Jason, all Conservative nations in the region of Conservatopia are considered defacto allies of the CFA.

The Americon Government

A Federal Republic, the Americon government consists of three major branches, and four governmental levels. Like most governments of like-mind, Americom has a Judicial, Legislative, and Executive separation of powers. However, unlike other Federal Republics, Americom has a different break-down of governmental authority. Unlike most, Americom has a 4th level of government:

The Federal Kommanderat of the Federation

The Satellite State

The Pronvince

The City-State

The Americon Legislature

The CFA has two houses of Congress, the Federal Senate and the Americon House of Kommandants. To parallel these to a suitable example, the USA's Senate and House, almost exactly.

Like the US, each Americon province is allotted two Senators, and the number of Kommandants is decided based on district populations.

A litte bit of history on why the Americon House Congressional members are referred to as "Kommandants":

Before Americom became a free nation, for years it was a militaristic, anarchic state of rivaling warlords. "Kommandants" were the executive "chiefs," if you will, of the territories. They ranged in profession from CEO's, to judges, to Military commanders, and all were the leaders of their communities (elected by the people). After Americom became a nation, the first representatives in (what was at the time called) the House of Representatives were almost all the former Kommandants of the era before federalization. Thus, the first bill passed was the "House Renaming Act of 2004" which declared the "House of Representatives" the now-modern "House of Kommandants."

There are 537 seats in the House, and 120 in the Senate.

Major Political Parties

Americom has 3 major political parties:

The Republitarian Party -- The ruling libertarian/conservative coalition formed out of the former Corporate Republican Party and the splinter Libertarian Alliance. Often referring to the body of its members as the "Republitariat" as a joke, the RP is founded upon Hayekian liberal values. Economically they believe in the Free Market and its ability to find the best solutions for Americom through private competition. When addressing cultural matters, they tend to argue that issues concerning moral judgments ought best be left to the localities. President Goldstein is a member of the Republitariat. The CRP holds 60 seats in the Senate, and 260 in the House.

The Moralistic Democratic Union -- Americom's largest left-leaning party. While they're very significantly slanted toward the left on economic issues, they're staunch conservatives when it comes to Americon social matters. The MDU holds 32 seats in the Senate, and 86 in the House.

The Constitutional Federalist Party -- The more traditionalist right-wing party, of which former President Vires is a member. The CFP's members are staunch defenders of Americon Consitutional, Free Market and Traditional values. The CFP holds 28 seats in the Senate, and 181** in the House.

  • The remaining 10 seats in the House of Kommandants are held by various minor parties listed below.

Minor Political Parties

The Americon Independent Party -- A dedicated centerist organization, the AIP is the largest of the minor Americon political parties, with organized campaigns in all provinces, thus making it the sole non-regionalist minor party in Americom. The AIP has been heavily competitive in recent Senate races in certain MDU and CRP dominated provinces, though they hold no Senate seats; however, they do hold 5 seats in the House, making them the largest minor bloc.

The Socialist Proletariat Revolution Party -- A radical, radical left-wing party, some even question why they bother trying in Americon politics. The SPRP adheres heavily to the ideals of Marxism/Leninism, which has led critics to accuse them of being AntiAmericon. The SPRP also calls for the secession of the Das Bravado city-state located in the Federated Corporate State of the CFA, and the creation of a Socialist Commonwealth in its place. There has been suspicions that the SPRP is funded by MarxistStatesUnited. The SPRP holds no Senate seats, and after a huge scandal rocked their party leadership, they lost their only House seat to the Corporate Republicans last election.

The Progressive "Bull Steer" Party -- The leading populist party in Americom. Unlike the prior two minor parties, the PBMP is a party which exists solely in the satellite states of the CFA. While radicals among them have called for the secession of all the satellites, such is highly unlikely, as the only satellite entirely controlled by PBMP members is Liberty One, a small splinter colony left behind in the CFA exodus from Lovetown. The PBMP holds no Senate seats, and all 3 of the districts in Libety One's House delegation.

Write-ins -- Americom still has a frontier, thus allowing for their to be heavily rural areas in which small town community-activist may still manage to conduct successful write-in campaigns. There are no write-ins serving in the Senate, but there are 2 House Kommandants, John Vanguard IV and Napoleon Washington Jr., from the Americon frontier region of the Kaliforeich.
