The Empire of Amiros is very diverse. The capital city is Astana, and is characterised by its 24 hour neon glow. The men work during the day in administrative positions, earning high wages. The women work the nights, earning somewhat higher wages. A few women hold high military commands, and some men have grabbed the niche market and work during the night.

A matriarchal society, the current leader is Amiros, the great, great, great grandchild of Cleopatra VII. She has reformed the nation, by removing those who do not live up the beauteous requirements. Once citizens reach the age of 40, they are removed from the protected Astana, and begin manual labour in one of the surrounding farms. Whatever they produce, 75% is taken to the capital and the remainder they keep.

The nation, although currently the Amirosian empire, is known as Armana and displays many qualities that helped the Egyptians raise such a powerful empire. The traditional deities are worshipped, including Seth (god of war and protection), Isis (goddess of magical charms), Bes (goddess of music, food and relaxation), Hathor (goddess of love, dance, alcohol, and foreign affairs), and Anubis (the jackal god associated with death). The palace at Astana is a grand marble structure. Externally, there are marble columns and statues to the major deities. A statue to Hathor twice the size of the others stands in the centre. This is to emphasise the Amirosian belief that love, dance, alcohol and foreign affairs are all intertwined. Inside, there are long corridors and many rooms. Astana is protected by a 20 foot wall, with snipers placed every twenty five metre. Armana’s most notable feature is the Great South Bay. Armana is also noted for its dense jungle regions. Before Amiros’ time, great wars were fought between the Armana people and the jungle tribes. Since then, there have been no further disputations.
