Andrew Hessenthaler will be remembered more for his high-profile death than his low profile career as Chairman. Though well-respected in the international community, Hessenthaler lacked the vision and will to shape his nation, taking a laissez-faire attitude to leadership.
All this came to a crashing end though at a meeting of the SAAS on the Starblaydi ship, the Orca. Whilst showing off at the ship's pool, Hessenthaler slipped and knocked himself unconscious. He had drowned by the time the lifeguard reached him.
His state funeral was watched on Krytenian television by an estimated 1.2 billion people, and Hessenthaler is buried at the National Cemetary in Hastings.
