The Angel of Light Prophecy was a Prophecy made by Nolak. It is written in the Book of Nolak in 22:26:11.

Overview

The entirity of Section 22, Chapter 26 was often scoffed at by numerous Nolak scholars as being a sign that Nolak had lost faith in the religion he created and had been merely indicating its fall. Ironically, Section 22, Chapter 26, Article 10 speaks of the completed quest. The chapter was written during the Great Servant War when the various clans battled one another for supremecy.

Older version of the text, particularly those used before the 5th age, actually have the prophecy listed as 22:26:1. Scholars outside the Nolak clans indicate that this original configuration actually grants the prophecy more weight and indicates that Nolak didn't so much see the fall of the religion, but just the organization it had spurred. It, perhaps, is an indication of his feelings of the Great Servant War indicating that he saw them as a failed offspring of his beliefs. The later prophecies he makes then read as a rebirth of the order in the image he had originally intended.

Nolak made many other prophecies that have, over the years, come true. Very few if any of his prophecies could be regarded as false. Some scholars have, indeed, argued that all of his prophecies through the first 25 chapters of Section 22 have come true. However, the Angel of Light Prophecy is the only one suspected to have come true in the past 20 years, when Tristan Angel dropped a nuclear bomb on the Nolak Council, marking the end of the Seventh Age of Nolak.

Chapter 26: The Failing

Article 11: The Angel of Light

1. The Great Council shall lose her honor. 2. Corruption will poison the minds of those who lead the believers. 3. The fate of the clans will become irreversible, the result unpreventable.

4. A true believer shall rise amongst our ranks. 5. He shall show himself equal to the greatest of our followers and perform deeds unmatched by any who came before him. 6. But the corrupt will fear him and seek to destroy him. 7. In their greed, they will turn on him and unleash a powerful force the world cannot imagine.

8. And yet, he will still follow.

9. The corrupt, still fearful, will try to destroy him.

10. But he will be saved by the Angel of Light, to whom he brought enlightenment. 11. The purity of his belief will protect him from death. 12. The purity of her spirit will protect him from the corrupt.

13. As the corrupt wallow in their own fear, they will turn their entire being against her, seeking for her destruction. 14. But as the final blow is prepared, she will release her almighty weapon. 15. She will vanquish the corrupt and leave their followers confused, unable to find their way. 16. The council shall be purged of its filth.

17. As the lost learn of the source of this power, they will continue the plight of the corrupt and aim to slay the true follower, the Angel of Light, their followers and their allies. 18. However, the Angel of Light will be given a choice.

19. Should she choose to fight, she will reform the clans into an almighty force. 20. However, the true follower will fall, along with her followers and allies. 21. And the clans will follow their path again. 22. She will bring to herself a might she never before held, but at a cost that may be too great for her to bear.

23. Should she choose to flee, to take her closest allies and go to a land where our ways cannot reach, the clans will be reborn. 24. The circle will be ended, and the future of our people will be undeniable. 25. Our wisdom will not be lost and our path will be re-forged.

26. And so, the choice lays before her. 27. Power and glory, or love and hope.
