Antiia is a nation dating back millenia. Originally, the Anteen family lived upon another continent, and were a fair prosperous family, until they angered the Emperor Silas, who sought to have the family and their dutchy slaughtered. The Duke amassed as large a fleet as he could while his troops delayed the Imperial armies for as long as possible while the Duke and a small contingent of warriors gathered as many valuables, resources, and people onto the ships as they could. As the imperial armies burned and slaughtered their way to the Dutchy's capital, the fleet of ships departed, sadly leaving many behind, all of whom were slaughetered.

The fleet made its way to a new continent, a new land, and after up and down the shore for a place to land, the Duke chose a wide bay, and upon landing, decreed that a new city would be built upon the land and called Antioch, and it would be the capital of a new Antiia. Thus, the survivors of the Dutchy set to work, establishing a camp and using the resources they brought with them to start a new city. After many years, Antiia had been built and many outlying villages and towns sprung up.

The Duke passed away, as did his son, until the Duke's grandson, Duke Harris the second, came to power and the Imperial armies of the old Empire arrived. They came down from the south, where the Empire had made its first inroads into this new land, believing themselves the first to discover it. The Imperial Armies, upon arriving at a northern village of the new Antiia, set out to war, and many thousands of troops were brought across the sea and a vast fleet lay siege to Antioch. After three weeks of fighting, Antioch finally fell, and Duke Harris was slain.

Harris' son, Harold, came to power, and swore an oath of allegiance to the Emperor, and Antiia lived under six centuries of brutal Imperial Repression. The empire greatly expanded its new world territory, and the Emperor set up a second Imperial City at the original Imperial landing site in the north. Many cities, towns, and villages sprouted up, until one day, the plague struck.

The plague was unlike anything ever seen before, and it ravashed the entire west of Antiia, killing countless people, the Emperor tighted his reign on the remaining lands, and deployed Imperial Garrisons to kill any they believed might be infected or have had contact with someone infected. Many troops used this as an excuse to get away with all sorts of horrendous acts. The New Imperial city fell to the plague, despite these actions, and the Emperor, who had decided to reside in the New World, fled to Antioch to await the arrival of a fleet that would take him and his Imperial Armies back to the old lands. The imperial garrisons continued their reign of terror until the Duke William Anteen took action. The Duke went to war against the Emperor, and after a month of fighting, slew the Emperor Tiberius on the field of battle before he himself fell to innumerable Imperial troops. That spot has since become the renowned Palace Gardens. The Emperor's son, Viserys, took charge of the remaining Imperial Troops, and fled to the docks. However, the plague had managed to make it to Antioch as well, and one of the Duke's sons had been infected, he lead all the infected that he knew of in the city and went to the docks, attempting to board the ships. All but the Duke's son were killed by Imperial archers, but the Duke's son managed to hide himself upon the Emperor's own vessel.

Upon arriving back at the Old lands, an Imperial Guard discovered the body of the Duke's son, and caught the plague. The plague spread like wildfire across the Imperial City, where Emperor Viserys had taken up residence. Many thousands of citizens of the city, all of whom were infected, fled. The plague spread like wildfire across the Old lands and soon the Empire had been completely wiped out, leaving nothing but burned out towns and villages and long abandoned cities.

Back in Antiia, the plague continued to kill, but eventually was contained, and though the majority of the population was dead, Antiia still survived. The Duke's younger son, Caleb, pronounced himself King, and the people he and his family had liberated loved him. Thus, modern Antiia was born.
