About ADS
The Federation of Arab Democratic States is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 852 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Religion & Spirituality. The average income tax rate is 53%. A tiny private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.
The public health bureaucracy is wrapped in miles of red tape, every product goes through extensive safety-testing by the government, graffiti artists spend lengthy periods of time in jail, and army rations are served on silver platters. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Arab Democratic States's national animal is the camel, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Arab Dinar.
