Arabic, the language of the Qur'ān (Koran), is used as the official language of the government in Sunnistan. All school students are required to take Arabic all twelve years of schooling, and government officials have to go as far as being able to write a thesis essay in Arabic and translate it into Urdu before being allowed to hold their positions.

For this reason, all languages of Sunnistan are often heavily Arabicized, and speaking Arabic is considered a social put-on.
