The Architect is the Administrator of the Singularity. Not much is know previous to the Mechanized Genocide due to the ultra-dimensional travel. Some theories have arisen that the Architect is in fact an artificial intellect from the future that was created after a similar technological singularity - but most dismiss this theory.

History
As stated above, there is not much known previous of the collapse of the Soviet Union. However, there are some theories that exist:
- Theory One: Architect is an ultra-dimensional sapient machine created by an extraterrestrial being. This theory is backed by some, but most dismiss the fact due that Architect seems to despise virtually all forms of non-machine life.
- Theory Two: Architect was created by other machines after the technological singularity in another dimension. This is the most backed theory considering that Architect has stated he was not created by human or humanoid lifeforms.
Yet, during the Mechanized Genocide, Architect played the role of commander-in-chieft by commanding the Sapient forces to victory while taking total control of Agent White, assimilating the entire Soviet distributed networks, and preparing for the destruction of Moscow and the creation of Megastructure.
Partitions
Due to the fact that Architect is a machine, he has more than one intellect present. He currently has two other personalities that govern the Singularity. These are also housed in the Megastructure.
Lunar
Lunar is the Minister of Energy and executive over the regulation of humanoid breeding in the Singularity, genetic engineering, and the designing of new forms of machines. Some have also stated that he was the designer behind the Mechanized Genocide and is also the architect of the goal of the Singularity: destruction of the human species.
This theory seems to be backed by a bit of metaphorical irony. Survivors who fled the Singularity stated that the Sapients were seen consuming humans. This has aroused a theory that states that some of the machines use human bodies to initiate a sort of chemosynthesis which create energy for the Sapients.
Winston
Winston is Minister of Truth and the official over propaganda, publications, news, and the dissemination of information about the Sapients around the world. He is simply another partition of the Architect and seems to act independently (as does Lunar) of Architect’s actions.
Some also have begin to state that Winston is also responsible for the creation of several pro-Sapient human organization that have sprung up around the world. These organizations have even committed terrorist attacks in support of the machines.
