Personal History
Early Life
The Arethian Dictator's real name is unkown, but the following historical data for him has been compiled from stories of people who claim to know him or work for him. The most likely name is Raidia Faust, but many have speculated that this might have been an alias before Areth arrived at FurNation. He has used this alias several times since arriving, but lately has not given a name in any of his public statements.
Raidia Faust was born on June 31, 1882 when the planet stopped rotating for an entire 24 hours. He was born in a small log cabin next to the family's massive mansion along a beach. He was raised by servants because his parents feared him after he accidentally shot seven people when he managed to get his hands on his father's gun.
By the age of seven, Raidia had discovered the key to eternal life, and hid it from everyone he knew. At the age of twenty-seven, he no longer aged and had proved that his life would never end.
The Discovery of Areth
In 1901, a rather large tree trunk landed on his home's beach and after numerous attempts to move it, Raidia decided to carve it into a boat. After months of cutting, he set sail and abandoned his home. He named the ship "Areth" and allowed the boat to take him wherever the oceans desired. In less than a week, he arrived on a small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and used the boat for firewood to survive.
The Birth of a New Nation
The very next day, the island began to rise to form a volcano, and lava began to spew out the top. Raidia hid behind a boulder as the island grew at a rate of ten square miles per minute. Two weeks later, the nation of Areth was born. A hurricane blew dust, seeds, and animals over the solidified surface and people began to flock towards the massive island.
Raidia hid in the shadows, but built his mansion out of the wood from the tree trunk and assumed the role of the President. No one seemed to mind this until the 1880's, when Raidia ordered all of the outgoing ships to be burned, preventing anyone from ever leaving the shores of Areth.
Current Events
Despite being despised by his citizens, Raidia works well with fellow FurNation leaders. He gladly invites their citizens to come and go for keg parties but denies entrance or departure from anyone else. Raidia has also spoken out against "invasions" throughout NationStates after his region was invaded.
Rumors of a harem within his mansion remain to be confirmed, but anyone who tries to find out is shot on sight. Security around Raidia is extremely tight.
