The Ariddian Secretariat for Immigration is one of the ministries of the PDSR Ariddia's State government. It is also refered to as the Secretariat for Immigration, Integration and Multiculturalism. Its primary aim is to facilitate the integration of immigrants into Ariddian society, the particularities of which (a moneyless economy, socialist ethos, vegetarianism...) may sometimes prove puzzling or challenging for foreigners.

The Secretariat is currently headed by Salomon Blancval, and has the current duties and responsibilities:

  • provide information and concrete assistance for new and recent immigrants, through local offices delivering practical everyday life tips, translation services, legal references, guides to other services, local maps, and so on;
  • suggest amendments to citizenship and immigration laws, if necessary;
  • design cultural tests for the acquisition of citizenship, and assist immigrants who are preparing to sit the test - for example, by answering any questions they may have about Ariddian culture, laws and customs, preparing guide booklets on Ariddian culture for immigrants, and so on;
  • provide free language courses to teach French, English and Wymgani;
  • record difficulties, suggestions or complaints expressed by immigrants, persons having recently acquired citizenship, and members of the community in general;
  • assist in the preparation of cultural events, to encourage Ariddia's cultural diversity and its expressions and relevance in everyday life;
  • help to preserve the languages Tikieyo, Ariddian Arctic Wymgani, Ariddian Arctic Korean and Lank Jan, through means such as publishing books on grammar, vocabulary and phrases, publishing novels, short stories and other texts in these languages, preparing oral records of these languages, and preparing classes to teach these languages.
