Arjan van Schotte is the elected head of the 5-person Peoples' National Committee of Garvik.

Background

van Schotte was born in Nieuwestad, Garvik on November 30, 1962, to Joshua van Schotte and Klara van Solingen. He studied psychology and politics at the Victoria University and worked under, and eventually replaced, his father at the Orgenvika Herald before becoming active in politics in 1984.

Political Roles

van Schotte stood for his street committee in Victoria in 1984, and rose rapidly to be the South East Victoria Representative on the Victoria Canton Committee in 1988. He proved to be a very shrewd and innovative politician, and was elected as a member of the National Committee in 1990 and the Leader a year later - being re-elected every year since.
