The Right Honourable Signora Athena Kyriake Papistikas, LL, born 4th April, 1941 in Medomanto, Acqua Verdi, Pacitalia, is one of only two women to have served as the prime minister of the Democratic Capitalist Republic of Pacitalia. She served as the head of state and government from 1977 to 1985. A prominent member of the Liberal Party, Papistikas is known for her charm, her high level of intelligence in strategy formation and her dry wit. Papistikas is credited with building the first roads of the autostrada superhighway network while in power. She sought a third term but lost to Giorgio Cassata of the Conservative Party in the 1985 election.

Papistikas completed her Master's of Law at the National University in Timiocato in 1967 and immediately moved into politics for the Liberal Party (now the Pacitalian Social Coalition). She was elevated to party leader after a bitter leadership battle in late 1976 and subsequently won the federal general election of 1977 with a slight majority. She also attempted to win the leadership of the party in 2004, but lost to Fernando Chiovitti. Following this loss she has started touring the world as a motivational speaker for women and feminist thought.
