The Atorian Language is native to the main island natives of the nation Ator People. It is spoken by approx. 50,000 descendents of the natives, as well as students of the language today. The Atorian Alphabet

The Atorian Alphabet has many of the modern day English letters, however some are different. The different letters are listed below.

A - ahh as in bird.

Ā - Aay as in hay.

B - Ba as in bat.

C - Ka as in cat.

E - Ehh' as in echo.

Ē - Eee' as in tree.

K - There is no "K" in this language. C is used instead for that sound.

I - ih as in pick.

Ī - eye as in ice.

Ō - oh as in go.

O - There is no O, as used as a short vowel. Instead, ah is usually used.

Ū - ooo as in you.

U - There is no U, as used as a short vowel. Instead, ah is usually used. See "O".

Declining Nouns

There are two declensions of nouns. All nouns are the same gender. The four different cases are Subjective, Objective, Possessive, Prepositional.

First Declension

These nouns are characterized by having and ending of -us, -ōs, or -is. In rare cases they may also end in -x.

To decline, drop the "s" or "x" and add the following endings:

Singular

Subjective: n

Objective: īs

Possessive: ūm

Prepositional: īin

Plural

Subjective: lōn

Objective: līn

Possessive: ūmo
