Brigadier General Aurelius Adolf Christensen was the first President of the fascist Social Republic of Texas, formed after he overthrew the government of Alejo Suárez Trejo, who had just overthrown the government of Bùi Ánh. He is known for founding the fascist Social Republic, brutally suppressing non-White, non-Protestant, and other groups he didn't like, and forming a massive personality cult that would be further amplified by his son Brand Aurelius Christensen.

Early Life

Aurelius Adolf Christensen was born to Adolf Germanus Christensen and Mary Christensen in Austin, Santa Nuria state. Aurelius's father Adolf was a strict, conservative Christian who often beat Aurelius's brothers, sisters, and mother. Aurelius kissed up to his father, and easily became his favorite. His father strongly supported the white supremacist regime of Alois Almstedt, and his successor Robert Hall, who was in power at the time Aurelius was born. Aurelius was sent to an elite school for whites only in Austin, and became involved in radical fascist/white nationalist politics during his high school years. He entered the military academy, and, using his father's influence, quickly moved up the ranks.

The 30s and Seizure of Power

During the era of Democratic Solidarity Front activism in the 1930s, Christensen, as a Brigadier General, was heavily active in brutally suppressing the DSF-inspired riots in Austin. He became known as "Aurelius Adolf the Asshole," a name he is still called in the DSF to this day. When Bùi Ánh overthrew the government of Robert Hall in 1939, Christensen's troops were pushed out of Austin, but continued to fight in the countryside of Santa Nuria, variously pillaging, looting, raping, and killing. On January 25, 1940, when Alejo Suárez Trejo launched a coup in Austin attempting to stabilize the country, Christensen jumped on the chance, entering the city just a few hours after Suárez had taken power.

In Power

Just like the Taliban, Christensen was at first welcomed. People danced in the streets. The factionalism and instability of the Ánh government would be over!

The non-white population soon lost this image. The regime Christensen proceeded to institute was more dictatorial, brutal, and racist than any other regime that had been in power in the country. Aurelius, who was known to have a case of Narcissism, began to institute a personality cult, putting gigantic pictures of himself all over the country, naming countless cities, the Capital, the Capital District, and even another entire state, after himself. The military and secret police were given free reign over cities. Property was taken from the richest non-whites and given generally to Christensen himself.

Aurelius did continue the industrialization program of Almstedt and Hall, with continued success. Infrastructure, new hospitals, and new housing were built...for whites. Meanwhile, the few non-white institutions that had ever been funded by the government lost their funds. These funds soon found their way in to the pockets of Christensen and his cronies. Later, they also began to be embezzled by his son Brand.

Aurelius gave Brand preferential treatment, giving him high military ranking despite his almost absent ability to command troops, giving him a high position in the Texian National Fascist Party despite his stupidity, and having his Vice President, Robert Costello, assassinated so Brand could have his job. He gave Brand the ability to make "Vice Presidential Decrees" in 1975, and his son dipped into the state's pockets even more than his father ever had. Brand also gained a lesser personality cult. All this caused Christensen's wife to defect to the DSF in 1979. Christensen later sentenced her to death in 1979, and denied that he had ever been married her. Official Tejano records were altered to reflect this. He claimed he had Brand with his second wife, Katrina, despite the fact that Brand was older than her.

Christensen's health deteriorated during the late 1970s, having developed emphysema and heart problems due to chain-smoking. He died on May 17, 1981, of heart failure. The country was forced to mourn his death for an entire month. On June 17, 1981, his son Brand succeeded him.
