Rugby Union

The areas that Australonesia Proper comprise, New Zealand and Australia, have always been known for their talented rugby union teams. Currently, Australonesia's governing rugby board, the Australonesia Rugby Union, operates two national teams that traditionally play in seperate tournaments, unless tournament rules specifically allow more than one team per nation. ARFU also operates a professional league, with upwards of eighty teams, as well as an under-19 community league and a professional regional competition. Besides this, ARU runs an annual seven-aside tournament, the Canberra Sevens.

Australian Rules Football

Australonesia is the birthplace of Australian Rules Football, containing its de-facto world governing body, the Australian Rules Football Association. ARFA runs a professional league with seventy-three teams in four conferences, Australia-New Zealand Conference, Islands Conference, Asia Conference and Western Conference. They also operate university and high school league.

Gridiron Football

The National Gridiron League (NGL) is the governing group for professional gridiron in Australonesia. They run thirty teams, split into the Eastern Conference and the Northern Conference. There is also a University Gridiron Association, which has three divisions of over one-hundred university teams.
