Azozamu

General Overview

The Grand Duchy of Azozamu is a massive, economically powerful nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 2.756 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

The enormous, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Commerce. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 15%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, followed by Gambling and Uranium Mining.

Azozamu's airwaves are dominated by corporate-backed commercial radio, Azozamu's army is full of two-metre tall super-soldiers, children as young as twelve are conscripted into the armed forces, and Azozamu's fine wines are renowned throughout the region. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Azozamu's national animal is the hawk, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the crown.
