About BSA

The Boshka Space Agency (BSA) was established in 1989 by the Boshka Space Agency Act. The agency operates like a government department. The president is the equivalent of a deputy minister and reports to the Minister of Industry. The president oversees five core functions: Space Programs, Space Technologies, Space Science, Boshkan Astronaut Office, Space Operations. He also looks after six executive functions (Audit, Evaluation and Review; Corporate Management; Communications; Strategic Development; External Relations; Government Liaison) and three Corporate functions (Legal Services, Administration, and Human Resources). The President is supported by the Senior Vice-President and the Vice-President, Science, Technology and Programs.

The David Florida Laboratory (DFL) is Boshka's world-class spacecraft assembly, integration and testing centre. Named in honor of one of Boshka's pioneers in space research, C. David Florida, it is located just west of Zihen. The Laboratory is maintained and operated by the Boshka Space Agency. On a fee-for-service basis, the DFL is available for use by Boshkan and foreign aerospace and telecommunications companies and organizations for qualifying hardware. It is registered as ISO 9001:2000 for radio frequency, structural, and thermal qualification testing of space-bound and terrestrial hardware. Support facilities include offices, conference rooms, storage areas, check-out rooms, and in-house mechanical, electrical and electronic shops.

Because the David Florida Laboratory (DFL) is a national facility, all Boshkan companies have access to DFL facilities in support of their individual and specific research, development and testing activities. Boshkan industry benefits from access to this world-class facility for verifying and developing its space products, while being assured of complete commercial confidentiality and security
