Bagura is the "official" national language of the Centralized Mountain States of Snefaldia, but is hardly universal. It is largely used in the Dayan region.

Though the government officially endorsed Bagura as a means of constructing a national identity, it is rarely used by officials. The Tuhran Bel largely conducts their debates in Greek and Latin, and many government documents are written thusly. Foreign documents are often translated into the respective tongues, but more often than not English is used in an international setting.

Bagura is considered by some to be an ethnocentric tongue, as many of its words have connotations that would be considered offensive to the non-Dayan ethnic groups. Many people in Snefaldia are bi- if not tri-lingual.

The fa'er system is used to write the language, as well as most latin-based languages not indigenous to Snefaldia.
