Barandon was the national capital of Islas de Pádrogüe from its formation in 1860 to 1871. Then, the capital was moved to Adrián. Barandon is capital of the province Amatagüe. Its population is 1.3 million. Barandon has the largest port facility in all of Pádrogüe, where ships from all over Europe stop to re-fuel. Barandon was founded in 431, meaning it is the oldest city in Pádrogüe. Tourists often visit Barandon for its natural history. The most visited landmarks are the Beaches, the Birthplace of Rei Jaumè II, and Park Naçionâ del Forest Veixo.
