Major Fortress town in Dyelli Beybi, originally built in the 1700s, the fortifications around Bath have been upgraded over time. Suburbs exist outside the defensive perimeter now, but strict regulations exist as to how close any building may be to the defences. Bath has seen numerous Battles throughout it's time due to it's strategic importance on the River Djel. It is often a boasting point of people from the town that Bath has never fallen to an invading army.

The Great Seige

In the year 1799 an army from Kyzla Orda laid seige to the town for several months, despite the fact that the garrison was understrength and lacking in officers, the city never fell.

The Battle of Bath

The Battle of Bath dragged on for three weeks and was the final act in the Dyelli Beybian Civil War that marked the end of the Tzarist era. It pitched the Dyellian General Lunchtime O'Booze and Air-Marshall Christopher France against General Duma of Fasta Benj and General Plank of Jiggady.

The First Day. The first day was an air Battle, and was considered a great success by the Socialist Dyellian forces. Despite the inferiority of their fighters, a combination of numerical superiority, ground AA and better tactics saw the Benjian aiforce all but destroyed by the end of the day.

The Second Day. The Second day was opened by a tactical nuclear strike by the Benjian forces to open a coridoor through the defenses. In panick many Dyellian units retreated, and for the first time in history an enemy force breached Bath's defenses. However, the Benjian Generals had failed to take into account of two large tank forces approaching from the North and South.

The Fifth Day. On this day the Battle was joined by a pro-Tzarist, but numerically small army from Jiggady, which launched an attack on the airbases to the East of the city. Under the assistance of JDF artillery, the Dyellian lines held and Plank's force was completely destroyed.

The Tenth Day Dyellian forces within the city retreated to the East bank of the river, blowing up all but one bridge in the process. This remained heavily fortified, and while further attacks were expected, they never came.

The Fourteenth Day The Dyellian secret weapon, the 'King Shrew' in reality a giant tank, joined the forces ammasing to the South of the city. At dusk, the Dyellian forces to the North and South lauched sweeping attacks, initiated by the 'King Shrew' and backed by heavy air support. The 'King Shrew' turned to run through the city and ended it's journey on the East bank, having torn through the Benjian lines. It was never used again. Meanwhile outside the city, the Dyellian armoured columns had had considerable success and had driven all surviving Benjian units into the city.

The Twentieth Day Benjian forces, running low on food, and under near constant artillery bombardment, surrendered. With the news of the death of Tzar Henry IV in the Battle of Cyro, the civil war ended.
