Summary
The Battles of Woodfall were in fact two simotanious battles that took place in two of the islands in the Woodfall Swamp nation in Xindus. It is the first minor conflict in Xindus.
Events
The Battles of Woodfall took place on February 12th, 0 AK. This was after a Kantoriuma naval patrol discovered several seemingly uninhabited chain of islands approxemately two hundred kilometers off the east coast of Celes 5. The Kantorian fleet soon arrived at the island shortly in the morning. However, the Deku tribes soon emerged from the forested areas, attacking the Kantorian forces. Due to the weakness of the arrows and stones used as well as the Kantorian's defensive semi-permibable membrane, there were only a few minor injuries. The Kantorian forces then attacked the Deku on defense, which drove them back. It is written that Chris Kantor smited at least two hundred Deku by simply looking at them and thinking about death at the same time. The Kantoriuma Air Force (KAF) soon arrived, aiding the ground troops. On this one island six hundred Deku were killed in action. Only one quarter of the Deku population on Island One were able to escape onto another island.
At the same time, Celes 5 was alerted of the battle. Due to the islands being in its territory, the Celes 5 government sent its naval force to attack Island Two. Once they arrived, they soon were attacked by the Deku. However, the Deku attacked with catapults, having been alterted of the attack by forigners on Island One. Casualities were light. The Celes forces, with help from the KAF were able to drive the Deku off Island Two. Five hundred Deku were killed.
Aftermath
Upon the victories by the Celes 5 and Kantoriuma forces, the two nations then colonized islands One and Two respectively. However this has started the great Woodfall Swamp Controversery. Kantoriuma and Celes 5 spar on as to that their nation should control all the islands, while driving out the Deku. However, other nations think that two colonized islands are enough, while other nations believe Celes 5 and Kantoriuma should apologize to the Deku and back out completely.,
