Although the final power rests within the monarchy, Bejerot maintains a body of elected officials to assure that localised problems do not go unnoticed. Every six years, Bejeroti citizens elect a Prime Minister and Vice Prime Minister in independent elections and the Prime Minister, in turn, chooses his or her cabinet from the populice at large.

Prime Minister

The current Prime Minister of Bejerot is Anaïs Vioget.

Minister Vioget was born in the northern Bejeroti city of Ais on 22 April 1974. At age eighteen, she moved to Norrmalmstorg for university and it was at that time that she took a job as a secretary for the office of the late Grand Duke Matthias. She rose quickly through the ranks, and upon graduation from university, she became the Grand Duke's personal secretary. She was present at every meeting of Parliament and the smaller scale meetings of the Grand Duke with his Board of Regents from the World Society. It was through these meetings that she was able to gain political prowess, and once the term of the then-current Prime Minister ended, she elected to participate in the race.

Minister Vioget's first term in office began in February of 2006 and ended in January of 2012, although she was elected for a second term in that year's election. In the wake of Grand Duke Matthias' death, she became the temporary head of state until arrangements could be made for Christian Poulain to take over the Grand Duchy. Her final term in office will end in January of 2018.

Vice Prime Minister

The current Vice Prime Minister of Bejerot is Síle ó Néill.

Minister ó Néill was born in the Bejeroti city of Vichy on the Palmyra island on 6 January 1992. She is the youngest elected official in Bejerot history, having been elected to the position in February 2012 at age twenty. Noteably, her mother is Hélène Lacroix, one of Bejerot's foreign ambassadors, which is believed to have aided her in her election race, as she has always been in the public view. In comparison to her peers within the government, she is very liberal and appeals more to college age voters than older ones. Rarely does a week go by when she isn't featured in the country's few tabloids--she likes to party and cause a scene and is not at all apologetic for her actions, which is also appealing to her constituents.

It is widely believed that once Prime Minister Vioget's second term is over, Minister ó Néill will be elected to take her place, but she has not yet expressed interest in pursuing the position.

She was raised by an adoptive family in Huntsville, Alabama after the death of her natural father when she was four months old. After attending Johns Hopkins University, she went into the Peace Corps and worked extensively in Africa, especially the nation of Bénin, before being recruited by the nation of Bejerot to aid in the return of the Grand Duke and his family, who were living in hiding on the island of São Tomé at that time. After escorting the family to Bejerot, she settled down and opened a private medical practise only to be pulled into government a few months later with the resignation of her mother, Dr Elisabeth Millwood, from the position of Minister of Health.

By the time she was chosen by Prime Minister Vioget for inclusion in her cabinet, Minister Jenssen was the head of the entire corporation.
