Belgorod(Russian: “White City”) was the first settlement founded on the shores of the Abt Bay. It went on to become the national capital of the Abt Republic and is today the third most populous city in the country, after Aorinburg and Vladiseversk.
The city is also the administrative capital of the Belgorod Governorate.
