The Great Rainforests prefecture is located in the middle of East Akershus.

Geography
The Great Rainforests prefecture is well known for and named after its blossoming birdcherries at springtime, wich spreads a lovely fragrance throughout the whole district. Birdcherry flowers whirling in the wind is the subject of many a song, painting or anime in East Akershus, very much like the Sakura in Japan.
The great maple and oak woods are dominating in this district, where the badger lurks about the mushrooms and exotic herbs, which is giving the woods their characteristic musty scent. In the open plains the aardvark frolics freely, feeding on the occasional turmite or Langton's ant stack. The deer grazes in the fields, and the storks look majestically down from their high nests.
Bass and pike are common in the slow-moving rivers.

Watership Downs is the capital of academics, and is the natural center for the East Akershusean book publishing industry.
