British Overseas Territory

The British Overseas Territory is a Parliamentary Republic committed to the preservation of Equal Justice Under Law. A bustling center of trade and commerce, the Territory plays host to many different nations. She is the largest region in the Federal Commonwealth Society Treaty Organization(FCSTO),which is headed by the Federal Commonwealth Society(FCS).

History

On Friday September 23rd, 2005, the BOT called elections for the position of Supreme Chancellor. From March till September, The Sovereign Republic of Jamesburgh had filled that position. According to the member nations, he did that in such an excellent way, they wanted to re-elect them. Jamesburgh submitted the following statement:

Fellow Citizens:

For over six months, it has been my privilege to serve as the Supreme Chancellor of the British Overseas Territory. From its humble beginnings as a dying region of less than twenty-five nations to its current, active state, the British Overseas Territory has taken its place on the world stage and is ready to enter a new era of political and social development. As the author of the Constitution and every piece of Federal Legislation ratified by the Senate, my political experience in the British Overseas Territory is unparalleled. I have moderated Senate debates, appointed Cabinet members, appointed Supreme Court Justices, and even quelled a potential civil war during the Conservativeville split. I am prepared for any domestic or international issue that may test the integrity of our great region and will stop at nothing to ensure the success and preservation of our regional posterity. Not only am I more than qualified to lead the British Overseas Territory in a political sense, but also I am qualified as a representative of the people. Since the virtual conception of the British Overseas Territory, I have always served to protect the way of life of its citizens; I have always been open to criticism and advice from all member nations, regardless of rank or size, and have always promoted the general welfare of the people who make up the Territory. I ask for your vote in this election so that I may continue to guide our region with democratic ideals and equal justice. I ask for your support in my efforts to strengthen our region through unity and prosperity. I ask, most importantly, for your faith and trust in my abilities as both a leader and fellow member of our great region. It would be my honor to serve you as Supreme Chancellor of the British Overseas Territory for the next six months and continue to strive for virtue, justice, and greatness in our home. _________________ James Rappaport

Supreme Chancellor, British Overseas Territory

Because all other members wanted him to be re-elected, nobody submitted another statement to run for this position. This resulted in the re-election of Jamesburgh, who was going to serve for another six months, till March, 2006.

On Thursday September 29th, 2005, The Empire of Great Britain--- (GB), became the Delegate of his beloved region, Federal Commonwealth Society (FCS).

GB had founded lots of regions with his puppets (under which the BOT, the region he founded with his puppet FCS Prime Minister 1). He had founded FCS on March 18th, 2004.

After a long period of absence, he came back and saw another nation, The Conservative Imperial Nation of Posul, had become UN Delegate in FCS. Because Posul did not know if GB was really the person, he said he was, Posul didn't allow GB to access the region.

Therefore, GB set up a new region, called A Federal Commonwealth Society (AFCS). The FCS and the AFCS were both allies of the BOT. These regions existed next to each other for a long time. Some nations from FCS decided to go to AFCS.

After a long time, Posul decided to leave at once. He left for the region Great Britain and Ireland (GB&I). Immediately, another nation, The Holy Empire of The Lance of Longinus, became Delegate. He was pro-GB and removed him from the regional ban list. GB could finally return to his own region.

Unfortunately, The Lance of Longinus was not democratic. He ejected everybody who did something wrong in his opinion. Therefore, the nations in FCS wanted to have another Delegate. When GB returned to FCS they endorsed him.

This was the end of a big trouble within the Anglosphere Alliance (AA). The Senate of the BOT, which served that time even doubted if they should sent the army into FCS to get rid of The Lance of Longinus. Fortunately, this was not necessary.

On Thursday December 29th, 2005, Kampfia, our Secretary of Defence, launched the first Army Test in history. He had created a region, BOT Army Test for that purpose.

The goal was to move at least 50% of the Army to the region and to endorse Kampfia within 24 hours.

Within 11 hours, 54% of the Army had responded, so the test became a great success. The test, however, ended before the time limit of 24 hours had expired, because Kampfia got a message from Great Britain--- stating that the BOT army would be needed in the near future.

That near future was on Friday 30th December, 2005: a test of the FCSTO army. All military had to move to Warzone Australia and to endorse Waterana, Mattiva and Mars4, before Saturday 31st December, 2005 6am GMT. The problem was, however, that these persons weren't in Warzone Australia. There was also a communication problem, so none of the Army members knew what was going on and everyone was confused.

The test ended dramatically: everybody got kicked out of the region, so the Army top decided to stop the mission and to start it again in January, 2006.
