Conservative Party- The oldest party and has spent the greater amount of time as the governing party. Supporting free-market economics, the party has liberalized its views on social issues over the last year. This has caused a split within the party, traditionalists forming the Patriotic Peoples Party. However the party is still expected to win the forthcoming general election. Predicted Support: 35%

Socialist Party- Last in power twenty years ago, this party keeps to a strict socialist economic and social policy. It has remained strong in urban areas, and has come second in the last four elections. Predicted Support: 30%

Patriotic Peoples Party-Formed in the last year, the PPP is expected to take much support away from the Conservative Party. The split occurred at the annual party conference, with traditionalists disagreeing with the Conservatives views on several issues to such an extent that several former cabinet ministers chose to leave the party rather than remain. Free market economic policies and intertwined with authoritarian social policies. Worryingly has received much support from Army Officer Associations who has questioned the decline in right-wing values brought about by the Conservative Parties new reforms. Predicted Support-10%

Liberals- One of the greater parties, but has collapsed since the arrival of the socialists. However to date has remained the third party and has managed to retain control of several important urban and county councils. Predicted Support: 12%

National Front- Far-right organisation. May lose much support to the PPP. Predicted Support: 4%

Communists-The Communist Party has been unbanned in one of the liberalising laws put into place by the Conservative Party. Is expected to take much former Socialist support, which has damaged the Socialists prospects of winning this election. Predicted Support: 4%

Ecological Party- Formed to protect the environment, to encourage recycling and generally to improve the peoples and trees health. Predicted Support: 1%

Democrats-Moderately left wing, although not as far as the Socialists. However has been unable to break into the Socialists working class support, and has remained a middle-class party, which hasn't given it much support. Predicted Support: 1%

Peace and Love Party- Britishpeoples has recently been involved in a bloody civil war in Salamadstome. Many opposed this war, yet all three of the main parties supported the war. However now that the war is over support has dwindled. Predicted Support: 0.5%
