The Bureau of State Security (BSS), known in Dutch as Bureau voor Staatsveiligheid (BSV), and in French as Bureau de la Sûreté de l'État (BSE), is one of the two main civilian security and intelligence services of Ganchelkas, and is charged primarily with counter-espionage and internal security, while the National Security and Intelligence Service looks after external security.
