The COMECON-SD, or Community for Common Economic and Strategic Development, was an alliance founded by the nation of Vetalia in the year 2019 as a new way for nations to pool their resources for economic and strategic development, and to accelerate the use of free trade policies in member states. In the year 2021, its final year of operation, the organization had 22 members, a population of over 40 billion, and an allied GDP of over $1.4 quadrillion dollars. The COMECON had two main governing bodies, the general council and the security council. The former is used for non-military and diplomatic discussion, while the security council is only convened in the event of a serious threat to one or more members. In addition, nations with more than one billion people have veto power on the security council, which requires a two-thirds vote to override. In the security council, the "one nation, one vote principle" is in effect for all decisions.

However, it was short lived, effectively disbanding in 2021 after several years of ineffective activity caused by bureaucratic problems within the organization as well as its size, which prevented effective action against external threats. A brief revitalization was attempted under Praetor Alexei Melnikov, but following his removal from office, Praetors Ivan Melnikov and Viktor Kosygin, along with Emperor Valerian Kosyachenko all effectively ignored the alliance and have made no efforts to restore it. As of 2034, the former COMECON building has been resold and is currently rented as office space to companies in Vetalia City.
