Club de Fútbol Caballos Salvajes de Montaura is a Vassfforcian football club which plays in the Liga de Fútbol de Vassfforcia (LFV).

History

The Caballos Salvajes de Montaura F. C. is one of the oldest clubs in Vassfforcia. It was founded on 1899, the same year as the Umperia Knights with whom they founded the first Vassfforcian amateur football league on 1901. Then, when the league was profesionalized on 1908 they entered into the LFV with the support of the Montajìque Patrician House and since then they have been rivals of the Vaqueros de Plenfia (supported by the Montajìque do Sul). Their last two championships were on 2002 and 2003.

Tactics

They play with a 6-2-2 formation and are a mostly deffensive team.

Further Information

Their fans, as those of the Vaqueros are infamous in the country for their aggresiveness and for rioting if their team looses, especially at home. Neither the city of Prubdabli nor Hilvenídica are willing to have a match between the Wild Horses and the Vaqueros as on their last match, 10 years ago, nine people died and more than two hundreds were wounded. The team is also rival of the Vassfforcia Dolphins, but this rivalry isn't as strong.

Malaquías "el Gitano [the Gypsy]" Banyauri is reputed to be the best goalkeeper in Vassfforcia, especially on penalties for which many people say he has some kind of "gypsy" foresight.
