Calorom is a NationState in Antarctica. Located near the Larsen and Ronne Ice Shelves and bordering Rubella, Calorom is one of the larger nations in area, and the fifth largest nation in population in Antarctica. Calorom is the UN Delegate of Antarctica, after a brief period of instability following the departure of Davisia. Previously, Grand Admiral Gunnar Stiklestad of Calorom was the General of the Grand Army of the Antarctic Region.

History
Calorom was founded years ago in Scandinavia, but soon became alienated by the blatant militarism of the region. A group of explorers and whalers left Scandinavia and settled on the coasts of Antarctica. Establishing the capital city, Sydhvalbyen (South Whale City), the nation quickly established a socialist economy and government. After a long period of time as an Iron Fist Socialist state, the rulers soon realized that liberal reforms were needed, and became significantly more democratic. Calorom has been a member of Antarctica for quite some time, occaisionally leaving to help defend regions from invaders. One of the proposers of the regional defense strategy, and the home nation of the original General of the Grand Army, Calorom is highly active in Antarctican politics.
Geography
Calorom is a peninsula and several small islands located between the Bellinghausen Sea, the Weddell Sea, the Larsen Ice Shelf, and the Ronne Ice Shelf, with only one nation, Rubella, bodering it. The largest city is the capital, Sydhvalbyen is located in (and nearly encompasses) Calorom's largest island in the Bellinghausen Sea. Calorom's eco-friendly policies keep the nation very clean, and UN reports regularly place it near or at the top of Antarctica in subjects such as "Nicest Weather" and other ecological reports.
Politics
The Supreme and Just Ministry of Calorom is typically categorized as a Left-Leaning College State. The nation is traditionally very liberal when it comes to civil and political rights, however large businesses are generally looked upon with great suspicion. Government is broken into two branches, the Ministry and the Just. The Ministry is made up of several directly elected Ministers who each excel in a particular branch of knowledge, such as the Economy, the Arts, the Sciences, the Industry, and so on and so forth. In charge of them is one Prime Minister who is expected to excel at each subject, and function as the voice of the Ministry. These Ministers regularly meet and deal with whatever legislative problems face Calorom. There will be information on the Just coming soon.
Defense
Although Calorom is not a war-like nation, it does have a small but elite military comprised of a Navy to defend it's coasts, and the pride of Calorom called the Wyvern Guard. The Wyvern Guard is an elite group of pilots who ride on armored and biologically enhanced Wyverns. The Wyverns with their thick hide and armor are essentially indestructable. Also, as a nation of Antarctica, it is given significant protection from the Space Laser and the Regional Army.
