Geography and Environment

Calvinastion and its neighbors of MFUSR, Altrufal, and Hamboniastion are all situated upon the island continent of Tyr, which is located in the northeastern seas. In comparison to other landmasses, the continent is rather small, but it is the home of more than 8 billion human beings. 2 billion of these people live within the borders of Calvinastion. Calvinastion itself is the second largest nation on the continent (second only to MFUSR). It is located in the southeast, just above Hamboniastion. Despite its southern location, the nation is a very cold place due to its barren plains and location in the path of the arctic sea winds. The terrain of Calvinastion is composed of choked trees, greyish and dry grass, and large patches of cold dirt. The waters are a sickly red color. The same is true for Calvinastion's rainfall. Despite being a flat nation, most of the terrain is impassable due to mile-long patches of landmines and barbed wire that keep the residents in the country.

Status

Calvinastion is under the dictorial rule of the Minister Ralph Clavin XIII and his puritanical Council of Morality. The Clavin dynasty and the Council have been in control of the nation since its founding. The country is governed in accordance to an extreme sect of Christianity known as Calvinastonism. Those who are caught drinking alcohol, having sex while not married, enjoying sex while married, reading about another faith, or even just reading in general are executed on the spot by one of the police force's morality officers. The amount of racism, violence, and general stupidity that exists in Calvinastion has brought it much criticism in the international world. Many countries do not wish to make contact with, trade with, or be located next to Calvinastion.

Quick Facts

• Calvinastion has lead 13 crusades in its history. All of them have been known as "The Great Brown Crusade" and have been directed against minority groups and people of different faiths. The crusades ceased to be effective in the 1900s, when the soldiers of Calvinastion had yet to develop any form of firearm.
• There are exactly 638 laws concerning how citizens must wear their shoes. 89 of these laws call for amputation of a random limb when broken.
• Calvinastion doesn't have television networks. Instead, citizens may purchase VCRs with tapes that feature re-runs of "the 700 Club".
