The Monarchy branch is responsible for the governing of the entire nation. Emperor Alexander I has a personal policy of acting in the will of the people if it does not harm certain groups of people, which is why Camozayo is often classified as a benevolent monarchy. Generally he does not interfer with the elected Imperial Council, but reserves the right to reverse their policies.

Legislative Branch:

The Imperial Council: High Legislative Branch consisting of the Emperor and 5 selected seats, generally people who have proved themselves through Merit, giving the Empire a small for of Meritocracy in its system. The Imperial Council decides if the Parliment and the Senate is on the right track.

Imperial Parliment: Middle Legislative House, 21 seats, parties elected by province and district citizens, the party chairman then takes the seat. The parliment is basically a commitee board that organises tasks for the government commitees.

Imperial Senate: The Lower Legislative House, parties banned from the floor and citizens elect people directly, 500 seats. The Imperial Senate's job is to draft bills and amendments for the Emperor to approve.

History

Early Kingdom

The Early Kingdom was the first nation to bear the name Camozayo, named after the Prince that united the surrounding City-States into the early Monarchy which became the basis for the future Kingdom and Empire. After the unification, King Camozayo ruled for an unknown amount of time, leaving no heir, making the Early Kingdom a footnote that starts it all.

Military Dictatorship

The following government was barley even a government, but what modern day states would be called a police state, ruled by General Serento. His aim was to unite more territory and create a state so powerful that the continent would become unified, hos goal was never achieved. Serento did accomplish a military victory over the Eastern Sea Empire, that would lead to their 400 year old rivarly that would lead the Middle Kingdom to supreamacy. Serento died, leaving another power struggle that lead to the rise of the Lonto Dynasty.

Middle Kingdom

The Lonto Dynasty was created by a Lord from the Dragarian border, who entered Camozayo and became Serento's top advisor. Serento himself had no children, he named Ivan Lonto I as his heir. When he became top General of the Camozayian people, General Lonto II immediatley drew up the Monarchy Charter that outlined the Second Camozayian Kingdom. Seated in the present day city of St. Alexandersburg, know at the time as Serentograd, he began to move the nation out of military dictatorship into a traditional monarchy. Around this time, Christianity made its rise in Legidina, whose new Holy Senate decided to go after Camozayo, who had established an Atheist Government. The Legidinan Holy Wars were disasterous for East Dragarian and Legidinan forces, who became occupied from troops from West Dragaria and Camozayo. Over the course of 200 years, Dragaria finally made a final split, creating a Republic in the West and a Camozayian Style Kingdom in the East. Legidina was attacked and occupied jointly by Tradesmouth and the Theonic Piracy, whose Commerce Councils decide its fate toghter.

The Middle Kingdom came to a halt when Lonto III abdicated the Kingdom, for the next 30 years Camozayo became fuedal once again.

Fuedal/Dark Ages

After the 1300s, Camozayo slipped into a Anarchy state, where the competing lords began to sent armies to claim Serentograd. Soon the city was occupied on 5 sides and had 5 different names. The North was occupied by Lord Alexander I, he named his part of the city St. Alexandersburg and captured the large Serento Barracks. The South Half was occupied by Lord Nicholas IV who named the city Nichograd, he claim the residental areas. The East Half was occupied by Lord Ramus, he named his half New Serentograd. The rest was lost about the other 2 halves as their Duchies were occupied by Lord Alexander I. In 1467, Lord Alexander I defeated Ramus in a battle and Nicholas IV entered the battle and swore alligence to Alexander. Alexander walked up the steps of the Old Palace, overgrown by moss because it remained unoccupied and buried since the first Kingdom, took the crown of Camozayo and put it on his own head and claimed the kingdom as his own.

The Age of Alexander

The Alexander Dynasty lasted until 2001, and technically rules to this day. 18 Alexanders took up the task of being King in a palace designed to look like the Kremlin, built over the Old Palace which is buried underneath. St. Alexandersburg florished and Territory went at its peak. King Alexander XVIII decided to claim more and launched the Imperial Age.

The Imperial Age

The name Emperor Alexander I was coined after Dragaria and Camozayo toghter became loosley unified under the First Empire of Camozayo. The militaries untied into one and Alexander was accepted by the Dragarian people, however the Western Republic remained opposed and was overran by Imperial troops and intergrated into the Dragarian province. Theon soon joined Camozayo willingly, and toghter invaded Tradesmouth as well as the Dragarian forces invading Legidina. After a long year of war all sides became part of the Empire.

The Age of Unrest.

Early in 2003, Camozayo abanndoned a Socialist doctrine and slipped deeper and deeper into corruption. The first rebellion made the island a Communist state for 9 months, before Imperial forces rebuilt themselves an destroyed the communists, who fled to Argyres. The second rebellion lasted for well over a year and a half before being dismantled by a coalition of Imperial forces, Winnipeg, Capitollium and Spiffadonia.

The Golden Age

The Empire is considered at its height, after adopting a draft system for one year and educating the youth, the nation became advanced and now is seeking interests abroad. During the Meritocratic Coup, Camozayo led an alliance that opposed the Kitimat Pact, he called it the St. Alexandersburg pact. Today the Empire continues its stance on Imperialism, just having supressed a Legidinan rebellion.
