Capitalizm is a type of capitalism which is based on the ideas of neoliberalism. In a capitalizt nation, the government interferes in absolutely no way, neither by regulations of any kind nor by taxes or subsidies. It is usually compared with its absolute opposite, communizm.

The acknowledgments section of Max Barry's Jennifer Government mentions that a friend of Max suggested that the book be called "Capitalizm". 'Capitalizm' is used frequently in the book to describe a society where corporations rival the government in power. The USA has taken over much of North and South American, the British Isles, Australia, NZ, etc. The European Union is marked on the backcover map as "Here Be Tarrifs".

Capitalizm is a world where capitalism has run amuck. To the extent that a person's surname is the name of their employer; hence Jennifer Government.

Capitalizt nations in NS include Commerce Heights, who insist that capitalizm does not involve limitation of freedom, defining capitalizm as 'a religion based on capitalizm, an economic system. CapitaliZm (with a capital or lowercase c) is a variant of capitalizm involving limitation of personal freedom.'
