Capitalizm is a type of capitalism which is based on the ideas of neoliberalism. In a capitalizt nation, the government interferes in absolutely no way, neither by regulations of any kind nor by taxes or subsidies. It is similar to anarcho-capitalism and laissez-faire capitalism.

The acknowledgments section of Max Barry’s Jennifer Government mentions that a friend of Max suggested that the book be called Capitalizm. Capitalizm is used frequently in the book to describe a society where corporations rival the government in power. The United States has taken over much of the world, including North and South America, the British Isles, Australia, and New Zealand. The European Union is marked on the back cover map as "Here Be Tariffs".

Capitalizt nations in NS contend that capitalizm, in its pure form, does not involve limitation of freedom and, to the contrary, promotes the freedom of individuals to trade. Critics of capitalizm claim that it is 'capitalism run amuck', a subversion of the free market that allows unfair and monopolistic business practices. Captializm, critics claim, leads naturally to anti-competitive practices and market failure, the result being significant deadweight losses to society.
