Caprecia

Caprecia is a collection sub-continents situated on the planet Oracia.Caprecia is a name for all three continents which consist of mainland Caprecia, Zara and Galdea.Geographically the name "Caprecia" should be restricted to mainland Caprecia south of Zara, however in political, social and regional terms "Caprecia" consists of all three sub-continents. The regional capital of Caprecia is the Dominion of Caprecia where the regional government is based and where congress house resides. The Dominion of Caprecia (or sometimes referred to just as The Dominion or D.C) holds all the embassies of member Caprecian nations and is the base for many diplomatic conventions. The Dominion of Caprecia along with the Tellarian empire holds veto power over the entire region along with the rest of the Caprec5.

The name given to Caprecias regional government is "The Caprec5".The name was coined by president J Hollanda to make it easier to name the government in general discussion. As the name suggests, there are 5 main positions in the Caprec5.The presidential seat is one of them, held by president Jafrie H Hollanda.The Delegates seat is held by a representative from the Tellerian Empire while the nation of Verenberg holds the ministerial position for defence and no-one currently holds the position for foreign minister. The interior minister is Professlan. Each member in the Caprec5 is apart of a political party, and can often promote their political party ideologies while in the regional government seats.

Caprecia is one of the only regions in nation states to have active political parties which are crucial to maintaining the democratic state of Caprecia.Caprecia is also a very multicultural region with white, black, Asian and Arab like ethnicities inhabiting the continents. Many nations are still being founded in Caprecia and it is still developing and finding its place in nation states. As the nation grows, so does the nations influence.Caprecia at this time does not hold any alliances.

After the great disaster that occurred in the region July 29th 2007, Caprecia was officially counted as "lost". However it soon resurrected with many of the original nations returning. Today we remember the "Lost Nations" and July the 29th is now an official public holiday. One of the lost regions, Atharon, is under direct protection by the regional government and stands as iconic nation to the "lost”. It has is officially considered a neutral nation, and the city of Jandrea,the former capital for Atharon,stands as a neutral meeting ground, or an alternative for diplomatic meetings.

Recently, after the collapse of the The Empire of Rothenberg the continent has came under immigration problems because of the influx of immigrants and the new nations trying to set up their countries.Rothenian Caprecians now make up 8% of Caprecians nations and we are still awaiting the remaining nations to travel through.Rothenberg now has their own political party.

Continents

Caprecia The oldest and most populated continent in Oracia.It also contains all 5 of the major urban areas for the moment and holds veto power over all continents until they can hold their own government.The mainland is restricted to the subcontinent south of the Gordinian penninsula of Zara and sometimes includes Maderona and the Sapphire isle in definition of "mainland" and which would otherwise be considered apart of Gordinia,Zara.

Zara The largest of the three and contains the most varied continent aswell.Zara is currently within its founding era,something Caprecia experienced not to long ago.Nations are being founded at this very moment and the prospect for energy wealth in the continent (due to its climatic and geographic position) is bringing much welcomed investors from Caprecia.Recently the peninsula of Gordinia was reconsidered apart of Zara to add more representation in the future and also includes the Maderonan commonwealth (seen as a trans-nation) and the Sapphire Isle.The majority of Zara still huddles towards the east nearer to Caprecia however signs are pointing to growth slowly heading westward.

Galdea The newest addition to the Caprecian family and a very attractive continent indeed,Galdea was discovered after one of the dominion voyagers to find islands northeastward landed them on the shores of the continent.Galdea has not been mass-settled upon as of yet and only contains afew small ports and towns to enough to be founded a small nation.Lately the Dominion has taken a firm grip to restrict national independences in the continent to preven so-called "1 day" and "puppet" governments.Galdie includes the artic lakes to the extreme northeast and berniece island to the south.

Atharon was among the lost nations during the great Caprecian shutdown of july.Today it is an officially protected nation under the regional government.The nation stands as an icon to the lost nation and is seen as a nation of diplomatic importance for many Caprecians.The capital,Jandrea is considered an offical neutral city and is host to many Caprecian diplomatic talks where nations do not wish to deal with the regional government.Jandrea city was also host to the former international union until its collapse.Atharon is well know for its mountains and its coastal scenes.It is also known for the great double border with Tellaria .

History of the "Big Three"

• The Caprecian Union Party

The Caprecian Union party is the oldest political party in Caprecia and was founded by Jafrie H Hollanda,president of the Caprecian regional government.The political party was founded in the hopes of promoting a more united Caprecia,a federation of some sort or a union of nations.At the moment Caprecia is a collection of independent nations,with individual autonomous governments all with their own individual laws.The regional government is restricted to the control of the region of Caprecia,however this does not mean they government the nations laws itself.The Union party is pushing to change the current structure of Caprecia,and instead convert all nations in states that comply completely to one central government.The goal is to make Caprecia an official federation.

The Union party has made many proposals to the Caprec5 over minor changes to the government.The latest proposal was to convert all Caprecian nations currencies to one single currency,the Caprec.This proposal,however,was met with oppisition by the international conservatives and the proposal was overruled.Other Union proposals are free trade agreements,open borders between nations and a single Caprecian passport/visa in all Caprecian nations.

The Union party still continues on today and carries a history nearly as long as Caprecia itself.Recently the political party has changes its name from Unity to Union party to make a more defined approach to the parties intentions.In addition a new flag has been designed to make the party more mordern and up to date.The Union party is the smallest of the 3 major parties and currently mass recruitment has begun to restore the Union party to its once active membership.The Union party is the only political party to have a permanent member in the regional government.

• The Caprecian Liberal Party

The Liberal Party as known today first came to prominence in 1876 by the Ravetian, Patrick Fantona. During the later General Barreter’s dictatorship, people within Ravet started to become more and more frustrated by the lack of civil rights within the country and the fact that their votes were not being counted in Barreter’s government who decided to just install family members into his cabinet. This led to Patrick Fantona setting up the Ravetian Liberal Party. The Party initially enjoyed little success and the party was declared an illegal organisation in Ravet and Patrick Fantona was sentenced to death for “false accusations against the President and the State.” This led to Fantona becoming a martyr in the radical elements of Ravetian society. This helped the Liberal Party greatly and with the increasing dissatisfaction in Ravetian society, the Liberal Party started to have much more of an impact within Ravetian society.

Within the first 15 years of the 20th Century, the new policies of the Liberal Party created excitement among the people, and this led to many leading members of the Party at the time such as Colin Gacaera, were arrested by the State Police. Whilst all this was going on in Ravet, the Liberal Party started to make waves in other nations in Caprecia. For example, in the Republic of Zadoian, a branch of the Liberal Party was set up and the party also enjoyed some success in SmilBy as well.

Members from the Ravetian Liberal Party went to these nations and helped to set up the foundations for a solid Liberal Party in these nations. During this phase, the Ravetian Liberal Party changed its name, and it joined forces with its fellow Caprecian countries (Ioannes Faunus and Galdea) to create the Caprecia Liberal Party. The Liberal Party had much impact in these two countries as it had in Ravet. However in Ravet, the Liberal Party had now joined forces with the New Ravet Movement during the civil war to oust the Ravetian dictator. Eventually after the civil war, the Liberals still hadn’t reached the position of Prime Minister, and this instead went to the leader of NRM. However, after 35 years, the Liberals won their first general election in Ravet, and Edwin Rotter became the new Prime Minister of Ravet. This led to the Liberals introducing a new free Health Service in Ravet. However, even though the Liberals had also enjoyed success in Ioannes Faunus and Galdea, it really only has been highly successful in Ravet, where it came into existence, Erid'Lor, and the Sapphire Isles. The Liberal Party is still trying to spread its message throughout the whole of Caprecia and hopes that many of the less democratic countries within the Continent will follow the example of Ravet.

• The International Conservative Party

The International conservative party is one of the oldest and most respected political parties in Caprecia.The political party started out as a party that held conservative Caprecian beliefs interms of regional affairs however as new era of nations joined the political parties image changes significantly.Today the International conservative party is a political group that promote national individuality and the rights to nations to have their own laws and have rights to their own nations.In many respect,the internation conservatives are the oppisite to that of the Union party.The last proposal by the union party of a singular currency was met with deep oppisition by the international conservatives and the proposal was overruled.

Today the international conservative party is the largest political party in Caprecia.They are,for the moment,the domininant political party in Caprecia and have 2 members in the Caprec5 with another nations pending for the interior ministerial position.Currently the head nation of the conservatives is the nation of Telleria.

CAPREC5

CAPREC5 is the name given to the regional government in Caprecia. It currently has only five positions. It meets in Parliament buildings and is currently getting started on its feet.

There has been controversy over the membership of the DPR into the Caprec5 in august of 2007. Many nations in Caprecia complained about the inclusion of a political party into Caprec5 and not having an offical position like other members. However, the President of Caprec5 gave the following statement:

"any major political party that does not have anybody in a government position in Caprecia has a chance to represent themselves in the Caprec government as the party leader.In this way all sides are heard. There are still 7 nations awaiting to transfer into Caprecia from Rothenberg and most likely the bulk of those Rothenians will join the DPR political party.They need proper representation. If any other nation were to say form their own political party and gained more than 10 nations I would see it appropriate to add a representitive from that political party into the Caprec5 because they have that right to power in the government. I have told Neu that if his political party does not gain enough members within a week then his political party will no longer be considered significant and then there will not be any need for representation in the government,I urge the Caprec5 ministers to consider leaving the DPR leader,Neu Wien in the government,even if its unofficial until his political party does not actually gain enough members.Only then I feel it will be justified to take off representation of Rothenberg in the Caprec5."

A DPR leader/representitive into the Caprecian government is currently on hold and further debate over the matter is taking place.The proposal did meet some oppisition from the international conservatives and some concerned Caprecian citizens.

The 12 stars represents the 12 founding nations of the continents of Caprecia.The bird represents the eternal golden free hawk.The hawk symbol is significant in the fact that it marks caprecia as eternal,and that these continents will remain democratic and freedom to all caprecian citizens.

Nationality

There have always been debates as to what is nationality in Caprecia.It should be noted that all Caprecian citizens have 3 nationalities.The first nationality should be the regional nationality,which is Caprecian,then the sub-continental nationality which is either Zara,Galdean or mainlander (Caprecian).The national to your nation should be taken into consideration.

e.g A person from the nation of Ravet would be considered Caprecian in regional terms,Caprecian mainlander in sub-regional terms (a person from Zara would be Zaran) and Ravetian in national terms.

Since the mass influx of Rothenians during early september 2007 debate has further as to what identity Rothenians should take.It should be noted that the same applied to Rothenians as to Caprecians,except for a minor change.The regional nationality would not be simply "Caprecian",but "Rothenian Caprecian".Although it should noted that some Rothenians will just consider themselves Caprecian and should be respected as such.

Climate

The majority of the continents in Oracia are temperate due to Oracias mild atmosphere however their are variations yet still within Caprecia and her satillite continents.The south of Caprecia is generally temperate (compared to U.K,Germany) while the northern part of Caprecia could be considered continental due to the large area inland (compared to the U.S west).Zara tends to have the most climate variation of the three continents with warm temperate in the Gordinian penninsula,mediterranean to the coastal south and east,sub-tropical grasslands towards the inland and arid (desert) within the extreme inland.Galdea contains oceanic temperate to its western side (similar to the Northwest pacific US) and towards the east and extreme northwest (Canalk island) it contains the coldest climate of the three continents (cool continental,tundra,sub-artic).
