Captain Starblaydia

Captain Starblaydia is a fictional character, created by Miguel Sanchez (artist) and Henry Barker (character) in 1947 and sold to the newly formed Storm Comics in 1948. He first appeared in Storm Comics #1 (July 1948) and has remained a near-constant presence right through to the present day.
As portrayed in Storm Comics #1, Captain Starblaydia was born as an ordinary boy, until a nearby accident at an army base involving Sigma rays gave him extraordinary powers. Though the accident was never traced back to the creation of Captain Starblaydia, it is theoretically possible that an exact same set of circumstances could create a similar being. For young José Vázquez, however, the world would never be the same again.
José, in his 'regular' identity, works as a sports reporter for The Daily Watcher, focussing on football. He is described as "not only knowing how to treat his editor, and a man with a punchy prose style, but also the fastest typist you're ever likely to see". José, however, is very clumsy and often thought to have taken up writing about football on account of not being able to play it at all well.
