Biography

Carmine Mbidzo was born, son of Emzari and Ethalene Mbidzo, in Crosaibi, Vilita. The youngster soon began to show a sporting talent reminscent of that of his father, Emzari. A young boy growing up in Crosaibi, it was only natural for Carmine to join the youth system at Marine Coast United, one of only a handful of full-time football teams in Vilita at the time. About the time that Carmine turned 13 years old, the Vilitan League was formed, and Marine Coast United joined up with 13 other top teams from Vilita and Turori to form the Vilitan Stellar Division. Excited about this new level of competition, Carmine trained hard in the summer leading up to the first season of the league. However, now 14 and full of energy, Carmine was told that he would not be playing for Marine Coast in the league until he was at least 18 years old. Emzari saught the help of old friend and teammate, as well as Marine Coast United player-manager Baron O'Toole. While O'Toole admitted that Carmine was unlikely to play for Marine Coast for a few seasons, he agreed that there was too much talent to waste. O'Toole decided there was no better place to showcase young Mbidzo's talent than at the first ever Atlantian Oceania Regional Championships. O'Toole had been selected by the Vilitan FA to take a team of Vilitan nationals to Krytenia to take part in the competition. Amongst the lineup, O'Toole selected young Carmine Mbidzo.

Carmine's First appearance came against Xile, where Carmine came in as a late sub and nearly scored with the last kick of the game, only to see his first ever international shot go wide. Days later the Vilitan team faced their Turorian neighbors and once again Mbidzo was on the subs bench. With just over an hour played and Vilita already well in the lead, Carmine was introduced at the hands of a player some called the future of Vilitan football, Serge DuPont. Mbidzo made an instant impact, speeding through onto a long clearance three minutes after coming on before finishing emphatically from the edge of the box for his first goal in a Jungle Cats jersey. The young substitute had an effort hit the post after a deft touch threatened to steer Aliana's cross goalward, but as Vilita poured forward Mbidzo was rewarded with his second and the Jungle Cats sixth, fellow sub Sublé Tonic crossing from the left for the striker to fire home. In the closing minutes Mbidzo was sprinting upfield at every opportunity in search of a first ever senior hat-trick, and from an Umberto Melli cross the teenager headed straight at Turori goalkeeper Milauo Slietah with the final real chance of a one-sided tie. Mbidzo's impressive performance with all of Turori watching earned him a contract with one of the top club teams in Turori, Cednia Beach AFC.

In his first season with Cednia Beach, Carmine recorded 25 goals in 32 games in all competitions, breaking all related club records at just 16 years old. He led the team to the Vilitan Cup final, only to be defeated by none other than Marine Coast, a goal from friend of the family Baron O'Toole ending Cednia Beach's Cup dream. At seasons end, Mbidzo became the youngest ever recipient of the Vilitan Stellar Division top goalscorer award, and earned a call to the Vilitan National Under-21 team. While Mbidzo was unable to make an impression in his first Under-21 world championships at just 16 years of age, he continued training with the team, and netted 3 teams in Friendly matches against Starblaydia and The Latin Union. Carmine's international travels seemed to affect his play with Cednia Beach, scoring just 9 goals in his second season with the team. when the second AOCAF tournament came around, Baron O'Toole once again selected Mbidzo, but this time Carmine was a first choice player. Nominated for Senior International Stand-By, Carmine added 3 more goals to his AOCAF account, while adding 22 for Cednia Beach and Runner-Up for the most goals in the Vilitan Stellar Division. Mbidzo backed that up with an impressive 17 goals in 27 matches the following season which saw many weeks with the doctor. Carmine earned sporadic appearances on the Senior International bench, but could not break through.

Vilitan National team head coach Helmut Vilkaus requested to have Mbidzo travel with the senior squad to The Eagle's Nest for Eagles Cup III, preventing Carmine from participating in O'Tooles squad for the 3rd AOCAF Cup and 5th Under-21 World Championships. The move would end up being very beneficial for Mbidzo, who scored his first Senior-Squad goals including the game winner against Creedence Clearwater, and a conscellation goal against Starblaydia in the match that saw Jean Paul Georges Ringeux ousted as Starblaydi manager. The impressive performances of Mbidzo at the National level prompted Baron O'Toole to tender an offer to Cednia Beach to regain his former youth trainee. Cednia Beach rejected the offer however, and Mbidzo went on to play another season with Cednia Beach.

Young Carmine, now 20 years of age, was unsettled by the depression that came with spending another season in Turori, when his home town club were dying to reunite him with his child hood friends. Carmine turned to alcohol and drugs to ease his pains, travelling frequently incognito to Pedriana to escape the restrictions of the zero-tolerance laws in Vilita & Turori pertaining to Alcohol and Drugs. Mbidzo visited Pedriana so much that he nearly gained customary citizenship in the nation. And the worst part is, no one knew. No one knew why Riccardo Appolloni was out 3 months at a time due to phantom injuries before being forced out of the club. No one knew what virtually ended Christos Tchami's playing career, leaving Cednia Beach after two seasons. They did not know why Rejistanian Kadu Hsen could not stand to fulfill his contract at Cednia Beach, nor could Malovar Stokks. Even Turori legend Malaino Mumamba was forced out of the club he had spent his entire career playing for. No one knew why. The players would awake with bruises, gashes, niggles and naggles. Players frequently got food poisoning, and no one knew why. The only one that seemed unaffected was one Carmine Mbidzo. After holding on to their prized posession for sometime, Cednia Beach realised they had to let Carmine go. The young forward finally agreed to a deal with Marine Coast United, returning home for the first time since he was 14.

Carmine was invited back to the Vilitan Under-21 side for the Seventh Under-21 World Championships in hopes by Marine Coast United head coach O'Toole that the competition would clear his head and get him back on track. After missing the World Cup 17 Finals and AOCAF IV, Carmine was at a real lack of competitive game and O'Toole felt that being an elder on the squad would help give Carmine a sense of self before returning home and competiting for championships with Marine Coast. O'Toole's plan worked Marvelously, with Mbidzo scoring 9 times in just 5 games, including a hattrick against hosts Total n Utter Insanity. Only twice in the tournament did Mbidzo not score, first in the 1-0 loss to Esth and in the Final against Bedistan, when Mauro Baraza netted the winner for Vilita in extra time, giving the Jungle Kitties their first ever Under-21 Championship.

Mbidzo was named player of the tournament by the Vilita National, and his troubled seasons at Cednia Beach seemed long in the past when he returned home to Crosaibi. Taking a role alongside Vilitan legend Callum Banda, Mbidzo rebounded with 15 goals and earned himself a place in the Vilitan World Cup 18 Qualifying lineup. Carmine scored his first career World Cup competitive goal against One Red Dot. Despite losing the match, it was the start of something Big for Vilita. Mbidzo's goal in the following match against Kylaai gave Vilita a 2-1 Victory, the first of a run of 30 games unbeaten for Vilita in World Cup competition. Mbidzo would score once more against One Red Dot in the return fixture, before netting 2 goals against Artoonia in the World Cup Finals, capping off a very impressive World Cup 18 breakthrough.

Carmine was a key performer in Vilita's Eagles Cup IV campaign, leading the team with 3 goals in the competition. However, a Torn Groin Muscle put a damper on his league performances, scoring just 10 goals. Carmine returned to action full strength in AOCAF V, once again leading the team in scoring with 4 goals in Vilita's failed AOCAF effort. Mbidzo was able to take that momentum and produce a fine run in the league with 16 goals in 25 games, leading the team and once again being Runner up in the Stellar Division goalscoring charts. Carmine's appearances in World Cup 19 were limited, and perhaps Vilita missed his presence, despite achieving an unbeaten record throughout qualifying with 12 consecutive victories, the Jungle Cats failed to advance from the Finals Group Stage after an embarrassing defeat to Nova Britannicus in which the Vilitan strikers were more than abysmal.

At 24 years of age, Carmine is now rumored to be dating the 18 year old daughter of Simeone Di Bradini, but the relationship has been kept underwraps for unknown reasons.
