Caroline II (28 February, 1940 - 7 July, 2003) was the de jure sovereign of the kingdom of Adal from 1983 until her death in July 2003. Although lived in exile all her life, Queen Caroline always claimed she was the true sovereign of Adal and never accepted to recognise the existence of the Union of the Christian Republics of Adal.

Caroline was born Princess Carolina Marie Amalia Sofia Alexandra of Dennemark 28 February, 1940 in Kaisersburg, Suur-Preussi, where her family had been living since the revolution in Adal in 1918. Her parents were Prince Christian, Duke of Dennemark, the future King Christian X, and his wife the Duchess of Dennemark.

On 2 December, 1973, Princess Caroline married the Great-Prussian prince Friedrich Christian von Strassburg (born 14 August, 1938), the cousin of Emperor Friedrich Wilhelm IV of Suur-Preussi. Before the wedding Prince Friedrich Christian was made The Duke of Falin. The couple had one daughter, Sonja, who was born in 1977.

Queen Caroline succeeded to the Adalese throne after the death of her father, King Christian, 5 May, 1983. During her reign, she never visited her kingdom and, unlike her father and daughter, never participated in politics by any way. Queen Caroline died after a short illness 7 July, 2003 at the age of 63 after twenty years as Queen.
