Carterian Pact

Overview

The Carterian Pact is a military, economic and political alliance located in the region of Carteria. It is open to all members of the region.

History

The Carterian Pact came about as a result of the increased pirating on the coasts of Carteria. In response to this threat, the great nations of Mindus, Holyboy and the 666s and The Melanesian Islands (under Uzbekistan and Solomon's guidance), joined forces to defeat the pirates in an exhilarating three-week campaign. After these atrocities, the three nations decided to band together to form what would later be known as the Carterian Pact. It's headquarters were decided to be located in the crater of long-extinct Mount Carter. This location was chosen due to its neutral and central location, on the border of Mindus, Holyboy and the 666s and Hammer2026.

Charter

First Order

All member nations are bound to protect the others in circumstances arising from war or attack. No Carterian Pact nation shall willfully attack another Carterian state. Joint offensive military operations can be negotiated, but are not the responsibility of members.

Second Order

Member nations are subjected to a free trade union, with reduced or eliminated tariffs, as well as economic provisions. All member states are encouraged to contribute to the free flow of goods across borders.

Third Order

If civil war in any Carterian nation causes undue disturbance to any other nation or party in Carteria, not affiliated with said nation at unrest, Carterian Pact nations will enter the conflicted region and forcefully return peace, instating a new government.

Fourth Order

Membership in the Carterian Pact results in additional representation in the regional capital and headquarters, Mount Carter. This is on top of the mandatory one (1) representative from each respective nation of Carteria, as well as sub-regional delegates and electorates.
