Catalina isn't a polotician, she isn't a leader, she wouldn't be anyone special if it weren't for her bold carisma to sail all around the world by her self with a tiny sail boat. She has visited many countries and has learned many things.

Early Life
Catalina was born in the small costal town in the heat of the summer. Her mother Maricruze "Mary" Gonzallas-Asturias noted it was a paticullarly stormy night, infact Catalina was born during one of the worst lighting storms in the nation's history. The lighting was so sever that power was knocked out, and it was dangerously close. Not daring to move she gave birth right in her home. Her father Alejandro ran in as soon as the midwife came out. Alejandro was actually Catalina's natural father, but tragically when Cat was about 4 he died in a sailing accident. Catalina was certianly sad but pretty young and not quite understanding about the whole concept. Mary remarried to Alberto Asturias and offically became Catalina's father. While techinically he's a step father, Catalina seldome refred to him as such.
International Journey
Cat's decision to go onto a an international sailing journey was for hopes to bring more attention to GTI, and her small town.

Perils and Near Catastrophic Incidents
Fortunatley for Cat, the people of Ri-an were so freindly the personally began to look out for her on the trip. But Cat has still faced many dangers, including sever storms, getting lost, ship wrecked and various other hazards and perils.
Incident 1: Ri-an Storm
Catalina dubbed this because it was the storm that took her to Ri-an. Upon leaving Kanami Catalina got caught in a very violent storm, that was part of the Ri-an magic. Catalina could barley stay up but fortunatley she was rescued and given a full tour of the country.
Incident 2: The Squal
After leaving Magic Sorcery Catalina found her self caught in a violent squal. The waves were much higher than her past experiences in storms while on the trip. Catalina looked at the sky, there were a lot of low and dark haning clouds. Looked like a storm and it looked like a bad one. Catalina took a deep breath, she was sure she could get through it all right. She had been through plenty at start of her trip. She would just brace the storm. It was to rough to anchor down, therefore she had no choice to piolt through it. She turned into the wind, and the gates of hell opened. Thunder, wind, lighting, rain and waves crashed down. She was in this now, she may have over estimated her capablilties, the storm was very strong. Soon it was black as night with only lighting flashing light. She couldn't utter a breath to speak and she was focused on keeping the ship steady. The boat was tossed and turned in the violent waves, and breifley got caught in a whirrle pool. "come on, left left left." But the force was cuasing her to turn right into more treterious waters, water was dumping on her causing her to slip. Her heart flet like it might explode it was beating so fast. Thunder lighting was just going constantly, and the wind was very strong, her mast cracked under the preasure, and her motor was ripped right off the stern. Her whole ship was falling apart, which wasn't good in the middle of a storm like this. She couldn't hold much longer either she was going to die, be rescued or if she was semi-fortunate, shipwreck aboard some island, or at least make it through the storm damaged. Lightning flashed again. Catalina never felt so frightend. And suddenly there was a large wave comming right at her She tried to ride up and over, but the wave came tumbling down on her tiny boat.
Later on the storm cleared, the sky was blue again, Catalina awoke, alive but disoriented. She was clining to a small section of what remained of her boat. She floated just hopping to be rescued, with out fail, the Ri-an's showed up and rescued her again. she was dropped in CoreWorlds and given some fresh clothes and was able to buy a new boat
Incident 3: Lost
Following Nueve Italia Catalina came down with a fever and was unabel to pilot. Deciding it was in her best intrest to rest, she anchord down and allowed her boat to simply wait the storm out. When she awoke the next day she was feeling better but found her anchor had broken and now her boat had been wondering the seas all night. Cat eventually became very lost having no way to determine what course she had been on or where she was currently. She went for several days when her supplies began to run low and frequant storms batterd her boat. Once again the Ri-an's saved the day by transporting her to Emerald Springs
