"Catgirl" is the English term for Cat/Human hybrid species such as Neko and Nekomimi. They are most commonly visualized as female (hence the name "catgirl") but males are not unknown (especially the "catboys" of Ravyn). They are generally considered cute, but this is a matter of individual taste.
They often appear on the national flag of 1 Infinite Loop. As an interesting piece of Trivia, the Emperor Artemis Legion VII of The Imperial Union of Rightous Reclamation is wedded to a catgirl that was "recovered" by the Imperial Union during their raids on the Conglomerated Corporations of Arogia.
